About this event
The Treaty Principles Bill and a cascade of anti-Māori government policies are fueling racism, misinformation, disinformation in Aotearoa. Whether or not the Treaty Principles Bill goes to a referendum, the six-month long Select Committee process creates a platform for division.
Adam Knobel is a highly experienced and respected Australian campaign strategist who has faced the challenges of promoting equity and social justice during high profile public decision-making processes, such as the Australian campaign for marriage equality and the recent YES23 campaign for the Voice.
In this session, Adam will reflect on these and other recent campaigns and share insights into communication strategies and tactics that can counter fear-based divisive messaging.
What to expect
Adam will share insights from his campaigning experiences in Australia and beyond. We will facilitate a conversation with Adam, with time for Q&A from participants.
This session will not be recorded.
