Hi Friend

We've won a few awards before, but this time they're extra special! We are very excited to share that last week For Purpose won not one but two Campaigns & Elections 2023 Reed Awards

Winner Best International Firm (that's us!) and Best Grassroots Advocacy Social Media Campaign for our #beatthefever project with Alliance Health Plus.

Best International Firm means a lot, it means we've kind of come of age, we're making an impact with our strategy, our design, our social media, and our website development work. And we couldn't be more proud.

The Campaigns & Elections Reed Awards, named after Campaigns & Elections founder Stanley Foster Reed, are the most exacting awards in political campaigns, grassroots and advocacy. Past winners include campaigns for Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.

We are stoked to have our organisation recognised on an international level and our clients projects make an impression within the advocacy sector.

These awards recognise the best in political and public affairs campaigns, and we are honoured to be among the winners. We couldn't have done it without the hard mahi of our team, amazing clients and collaborators. Ngā mihi nui kia koutou!

Enjoy the rest of our newsletter for updates on new work, what our friends are up to and things our team are thinking about.

Ngā manaakitanga,
Kristin, Emma and the team

Also nominated as a finalist in the Reed Awards, the website we created for Australia's Climate and Health Alliance. For Purpose worked with CAHA, Australia’s peak body on climate and health, to develop the digital toolset that would enable their vision - to build a powerful health sector movement for climate action and sustainable healthcare.

What if we just made art, not the climate crisis?

If you are in te Whanganui-a-Tara check out Generation Zero Wellington’s Art exhibition: What if we just made art, not the climate crisis? Over the summer local artists were invited to submit works using this prompt to show what a climate safe future looks, feels, or sounds like. This exhibition showcases great ideas of hope!

The Social Change Grid

The Social Change Project sought to answer one critical question: what can we learn about how social change is happening today that can strengthen civil society’s future efforts? Over 18 months, around 400 change-makers took part in the conversation.
