A close look at the role of framing and messaging in movement building with Anna Jackson
About this event
We didn’t record the session but we are sharing the slides as a pdf and have included a bunch of additional resources we think you’ll find useful.
We’ve captured some of the questions that came up before and during this session on the Miro board and added some responses. Please feel free to add more of your pātai and whakaaro.
We have also shared a pdf of the ‘moveable middle’ empathy map we used in our breakout room activity. In this session we used this activity to shine a light on the gaps in our understanding, the assumptions and value judgements we might be bringing to the table and the limitations of seeing people as a homogenous group. But, we think this tool could be useful as a starting point for building an audience engagement strategy in the context of a campaign. Just be prepared to challenge your assumptions, follow up with research and do some listening!
About Anna
Anna has explored many paths in her career, but these always seem to lead back to media, storytelling and social impact. She combines elements of strategy, communications and storytelling in her work with For Purpose. You can read some of Anna’s thoughts about effective messaging in this For Purpose blog post.
